I own a 1996 SVT Mustang Cobra that I purchased in April of 1996. This car was used as a daily driver until December of 2004. I started open tracking the car in June of 1997 and began to realize that the car needed to have some improvements to make it do what I wanted to. Until Dec of 2004, everything was a compromise, since the car was driven everyday on the street. The Cobra now has over 120,000 miles on it and about 10,000 of those miles have been on track.

I meet John George of Chicane 23 in September of 2001, when I put on the first event at Texas World Speedway and he came as one of the instructors for the event. Since the car was no longer being driven on the street I began discussing with him what I wanted to do to the car to set it up as an open track car.

We decided on a mix of Maximum Motorsports and Griggs for what I do. The car now has Maximum Motorsports Panhard Bar, Torque Arm, Adjustable Rear Sway Bar, Rear Lower Control Arms, and Front Control Arms along with the Griggs Koni Shocks front and rear and their coil over kit with 450# springs on the front and 350# springs on the rear. Not only did John do a great job in helping me get the parts, he was available to help with questions about installation and setup.

The car now handles fantastic. It is predictable and a lot of fun to drive. The first place I got to drive the car with this setup was at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit, Oklahoma. After some set up issues and relearning how to drive the car, I began to run faster and faster lap times. The next test came at Miller Motorsport Park in July. What a blast I had with the car.

As follow-up to the above purchases, John also helped save me money on the purchase of a Accumsump and oil Cooling set up for my car.

I have found my experience dealing with John George and Chicane 23 to be one of the best in dealing with car up grades. Not only on price, but in helping with what to buy and questions about set up and installation. I highly recommend Chicane 23 and John George to all my friends.
