We ended the regular season with a 2nd place finish overall, mainly due to the rain that killed any possibility of a points run at Road America, so heading into the 2018 Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational in Las Vegas, we had our sights locked on the GT class win. This footage is one of only a few laps and the Shelby GT500 managed a time that was two seconds quicker than our fastest 2017 lap. Mechanical gremlins appeared and left us wanting to know what the Shelby could really do, but we'll have to until next year to find out. So with only one lap in the books, we still managed to win the OUSCI GT class and took the trophy back home to Oklahoma!
